how to gain fitness

when SimEmily (SimTombert & SimDaysies’ child) became a child, i had a hard time keeping Emily fit.  as far as i could tell, the only way you could keep a child fit is to make them work out via the radio or the TV (or by skating in Seasons).  Syberspunk has a hack that makes your Sims gain fitness and body skill when dancing, and that helps out so much, but Emily doesn’t like to dance for long periods of time… nor does she like to work out.  so i went to all my favorite mods sites and went through and i found it!  on MTS2, Katy_76 made a food (which looks like the chef salad) and when your Sims eat it, they gain fitness. 100% fitness.  i didn’t have the patience for Daysies to prepare it autonomously, so i directed her to do it.  Emily grabbed a plate and ate it and she went from 0% fitness to 100% in one sitting.  i was completely overjoyed.  Emily is no longer fat.  huzzah!

it tastes a bit leathery

for April Fool’s, Marvine made an edible/cookable boot.  after i put it in my game, SimReese Witherspoon (who has a 10 in cooking) made it autonomously.

it tastes a bit leathery

i haven’t tried juicing the boot (because you can in Seasons) as i’m afraid of what random animation i’ll get.  hehe.  i’m such a sap when it comes to my Sims!  i never let them age, i never let them die.  i never let them do anything harmful to themselves even though i know it’s just a game.

my finds: yummies

i love food!  and my Sims do, too.  in this post, i’m going to try and list all my favorite food creations that the best of the best Sims 2 creators have made:

my all-time favorite food creator is Exnem of The Sims Vault[note: site contains nudity so enter at your own risk]  all his foods are here.  some of them are free, but some of them are only available to members (and you have to pay or donate to get access).  however, you can snag the free ones from MTS2 here.  if i were you, i’d get them all.  they look so good!  and even his later ones actually disappear from the plate when your Sims are done eating.  talk about advanced modding!

FoxieRoxieNYC is also an awesome food creator, too.  i think she was the first Simmer to create food when she was still with Sims Connection.

lastly, there’s Windkeeper… she doesn’t make edible food, but she makes awesome “plastic” food that you can display in your restaurants, bakeries, kitchens, etc.  her non-edible food add another degree of reality to your Sims’ homes and businesses.  too bad there isn’t a “food” category on TSR; it would make life looking for these yummy foods much easier.  so you’ll just have to dig here for the foods she’s made.
